In conjunction with Wake Forest Forest Day, join us during the morning on the Half Marathon, 3m or 1.3m courses. There is something for everyone!
The Wakefield Schools Foundation is so honored to be a beneficiary of this popular race and hope you will come and join us!

While the flowers are blooming and the weather is perfect……Come out and be a part of this inaugural event!
The first ever half marathon to run through down town Wake Forest and most of the sites of this area's rich history.
What makes this 13.1 course different from others is its constant change of scenery. One minute you are in beautiful downtown Wake Forest, and then you are running past various neighborhoods representing the different generations of growth this area has seen. Next thing you know, you are exploring Joyner Park and all its beauty while running through the natural topography of this secret gem. Now you are halfway to the finish line, and you find yourself in the streets of the historic district. Homes that have been around for over 100 years are an attraction all of their own. It's easy to forget your running if you think about Wake Forest University and how this course winds you through the sites of this university's original location here in Wake Forest. Finally, you hear the crowd, the music and the smell of local restaurants. You are back down town crossing the finish line and collecting your prize for completing this fantastic course.
This will be an event that will have running clubs talking. If you have been looking for a half marathon to be your first, then look no further. Our friends who are experienced runners will appreciate this course and the experience that FSSeries bring to the events we produce.

The FS Series and the Wakefield HS Chick-Fil-A leader club have been working so hard to plan the inaugural Downtown Wake Forest Historic Half Marathon! This will truly be a historic event. Love seeing the partnership between the community and our Wakefield schools!

Rising 6th Grade Band Camp
August 23-25, 2022
Rising 6th graders had a 3 day summer band camp with Wakefield High School's band director and other professionals where they were introduced to reading music and basic use of their chosen instrument. Students were ready to hit the ground running on their first day of middle school band and some with a new found love of music!
Run Wake Forest Run 5k & Kids Fun Run
June 25th, 2022
"Run Wake Forest, Run” was a beautiful 5k and kids 1 mile through historic downtown Wake Forest hosted by the FS Series and organized by Wakefield High School’s very own Chick-fil-A Leader Academy! Adopt A Highway
Wakefield Schools Foundation just officially ADOPTED A HIGHWAY! As part of our commitment to enhancing our schools, that also means taking care of the surrounding community. Look for our name on Falls of Neuse between Dunn Rd and Riverside Dr, just before the high school.
